SYRACUSE 1, ROCHESTER 0 (BOX)
Jerad Eickhoff had his best outing in his brief Syracuse Mets career, throwing six shutout innings. Unfortunately for him, Rochester starter Rogelio Armenteros was just as good, and in the high-offense environment for the former International League, we had ourselves a pitching duel. Armenteros only hiccup came in the fifth, when a wild pitch allowed Sebastian Elizalde to go from second to third and then subsequently score on a Nick Meyer bunt, giving Syracuse a 1-0 lead.
