The Syracuse Mets struck first in last night’s game against the Worcester Red Sox, scoring four runs in the top of the first on an RBI single from Wilfredo Tovar, an RBI double from Brandon Drury and a solo home run from Deivy Grullon. Worcester slowly chipped away at the Syracuse lead, scoring runs in the bottom of the first and second on home runs off of Jared Eickhoff.
