Dom Hamel made perhaps his best start of the young 2024 season as Syracuse won. The 25-year-old struck out eight, walked two, allowed just one hit, and didn’t allow any runs in 5.1 innings of work. Luisangel Acuña had a good night, too, picking up a pair of hits and scoring twice—both times on hits by J.D. Martinez, who should be joining the major league Mets on Friday night.
