Just when you thought nobody’s catcher situation could be worse than what we saw earlier this year with the New York Mets, there’s the Boston Red Sox. Though dominant this year and trampling over almost everyone they face, the Red Sox need another option behind the plate.
Lucky for them, there’s a guy in New York named Devin Mesoraco on an expiring contract. Can these two teams strike a deal?
I won’t go into deep details about who they could get back from the Red Sox in a deal. Last year’s deal with the Boston which sent Addison Reed to Beantown landed them Gerson Bautista, Jamie Callahan, and Stephen Nogosek.
