Mets’ bad pitchers shouldn’t be rewarded with endless chances

MILWAUKEE — Bad deals. Bad pitching. Bad decisions. Terrible results.

How much longer can the Mets put up with this?

Jason Vargas was handed $16 million by the Mets this offseason and at this stage of the game couldn’t win a Sausage Race.

AJ Ramos was acquired last July by the Mets in a trade with the Marlins and was to be paid $9.225 million this season to be a force out of the bullpen.

Vargas was dreadful once again in a humiliating 17-6 loss to the Brewers at Miller Park on Saturday as the Mets lost for the sixth time in the past nine games.
