Mets-Astros series to be moved to Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg, Florida

The Associated Press is reporting that the Houston Astros will play their next two home series away from Texas due to the flooding created by Hurricane Harvey. The Astros were scheduled to play both the Texas Rangers and the New York Mets in Houston this week. Both series have been moved to the Tampa Bay Rays’ home stadium: Tropicana Field.

The Mets were going to be part of the second series arriving in Houston for a three-game series starting on Friday, September 1.

Major League Baseball, the Astros, and Mets have yet to announce the decision officially.
