The Mets announced this evening that all COVID tests given to the members of the team who returned to New York City and to those who remained in Miami—after having been in close contact with the team’s two positive cases—have come back negative. In its statement, the team also mentioned that all members of the team who traveled will continue to be tested daily and remain in self-isolation.
The Mets received that pair of positive test results, which included one player and one staff member, on Thursday. That prompted the postponement of the team’s series finale in Miami that would have taken place that evening and eventually the entire Subway Series that was set to take place this weekend.
