Mets and Carlos Beltran have mutual interest for manager position (Report)

The top priority heading into the offseason for the New York Mets will be to find a new manager. The team decided to part ways with Mickey Callaway last week after two seasons and zero postseason appearances. It’s not clear when New York will interview candidates and make their decision. However, one candidate could very well be a former Mets centerfielder.

After reports came out last week that Carlos Beltran had no interest in becoming the team’s new manager, the narrative has shifted. Per Andy Martino of SNY, there’s actually growing interest between Beltran and the team when it comes to the vacant manager job.
