Mets' AJ Ramos could be facing shoulder surgery

Mets GM Sandy Alderson said reliever AJ Ramos is getting a second opinion on his right shoulder strain, and surgery could be an option.

Ramos, who was placed on the 10-day DL (retroactive May 27) due to rotator cuff tendinitis, will receive a decision soon on what he should do about the injury moving forward.

The right-hander struggled on the mound before his DL stint. He last pitched against the Brewers on May 25-26, where he walked in the winning run in extras, and allowed three earned runs over 0.2 innings in those two contests respectively.
