Though not pitching at the same level he did in 2016, Mets manager Terry Collins said Sunday the partial UCL tear Lugo sustained in Spring Training has altered the right-hander's arsenal.
"But he still knows how to pitch," Collins said. "He still uses his pitches and commands them and changes speeds, and I think that's what makes him effective.
"You're not seeing 96 [mph], you're not seeing as many sliders."
Gsellman, meanwhile, heads to the Minors after struggling in Saturday's start against the Nats, allowing six runs (two earned) on nine hits over four innings.
