Mets activate J.D. Davis from injured list, option José Peraza

The Mets have activated J.D. Davis from the injured list, optioned José Peraza to their alternate site, and announced that Stephen Tarpley will once again serve as their 27th man for today’s doubleheader in Colorado. In addition, the team announced that Franklyn Kilome cleared waivers and has been optioned to the alternate site.

Davis has played in just two of the Mets’ eight games so far this year, as he was sidelined after being hit on the hand by a pitch. In five whole plate appearances, he has a .333/.600/.333 line. It’ll be interesting to see how the Mets dole out playing time at third base, as both Jonathan Villar and Luis Guillorme have had early success this year, too, and bring more defense to the table than Davis does.
