The Mets have activated Jake Marisnick and Andres Gimenez from the injured list as they prepare for five games over the weekend against the Yankees in the Bronx. To make room on their 28-man roster, the team has placed Corey Oswalt on the IL and designated outfielder Juan Lagares for assignment.
Catcher Patrick Mazeika will once again serve as the 29th man for the second game of the doubleheader. The team also revealed that David Peterson will return to make the start in the second game tonight.
