KANSAS CITY, Mo. — This one’s going seven and testing the limits of both rosters, so Michael Cuddyer may very well get his Mets Moment. Right now, though, the Mets’ veteran does his best work both behind the scenes, in the team’s clubhouse, and in the interview room, dispensing his Yoda-like wisdom.
He thrives at both because he has a track record, a résumé, which gives heft to his proclamations.
“Obviously, success gives you clout to be able to speak — for people to listen, more importantly,” Cuddyer said Monday at Kauffman Stadium, in preparation for Tuesday night’s World Series Game 1 against the Royals.
