John Ricco has new job with Mets

This is completely Brodie Van Wagenen’s front office now.

John Ricco, who had been an assistant general manager for the Mets, was moved Tuesday to a new hybrid position. He will report directly to COO Jeff Wilpon on special business and finance projects, including construction projects at the Mets’ spring training facility in Port St. Lucie, Fla., and other minor league facilities.

Van Wagenen has his own assistant GMs in Allard Baird and Adam Guttridge. J.P. Ricciardi — who was in the Ricco-Ricciardi-Omar Minaya three-headed Mets front office that replaced Sandy Alderson during last season — is now working for the Giants.
