One of the biggest question marks around former agent Brodie Van Wagenen’s hire as the Mets’ new general manager has been how he will deal with his old clients.
Chief among those former clients is Mets ace and Cy Young finalist Jacob deGrom, who spoke for the first time Friday about his former agent and new GM.
As part of a larger feature on Van Wagenen, deGrom told MLB.com the situation has been “a little confusing” and said he’s still trying to “wrap my head around it.
