The Internet Baseball Writers Association of America (IBWAA) on Sunday named Kirby Yates and Liam Hendriks the top relievers in their respective leagues.
Yates was the easy winner in the National League, collecting 537 points. Josh Hader was second with 250 points and Will Smith was third with 106 points. I voted that way, too.
Over in the American League, Hendriks outpaced Aroldis Chapman 371-243. Roberto Osuna was third with 144 points. I screwed this up; I didn’t vote for Hendriks at all, and looking now at his stats, I should have. I guess I just missed him (I am weak on AL relievers and rookies!
