IBWAA Names Freeman, Abreu MVPs

The Internet Baseball Writers Association of America (IBWAA) Thursday named Freddie Freeman and Jose Abreu the MVPs of their respective leagues.

In the National League, Freeman outpaced Mookie Betts 1,587-1,173. Fernando Tatis, Jr. was third with 947 points. My ballot was completely different — Marcel Ozuna, Juan Soto and Freeman. By the way, I gave my seventh and eighth place votes to Dominic Smith and Michael Conforto.

In the AL, Abreu (1,421) easily beat out Jose Ramirez (970) and Shane Bieber (857). I had Abreu, Luke Voit and Bieber.
