Curtis Granderson is warning his teammates about his time with the Tigers, who have yet to get back to the World Series since losing to the Cardinals in 2006.
"We had a very similar team,'' Granderson told reporters Monday, comparing his 2006 Detroit team to the 2015 Mets. "We had a lot of young arms, a lot of position players mixed in with some veteran guys, some All-Star guys and we figured we'd get back there the next year."
The season after getting to the World Series, Granderson's Tigers finished in second place and didn't make the postseason.
