Former Mets RHP Doc Gooden weighed in on Noah Syndergaard's new training regimen, saying it's a good thing he has decided to refocus on being flexible rather than building muscle.
"Most pitchers, you like to see them more flexilble than big," Gooden said. "Pitching is about flexibility."
Gooden added that Syndergaard wanting to get bigger, stronger, and throw harder before last season should have been a red flag.
"I thought that should've been a red flag for an organization right there," Gooden said. "Because here's a guy who's throwing 98, 100. He don't need to throw any harder.
