HOUSTON -- Mets infielder Wilmer Flores left Game 2 of Saturday's doubleheader against the Astros after a foul ball bounced up and struck him in the face.
Flores was batting against Brad Peacock in the fourth inning when the ball struck him, causing bleeding from his nose. He crouched on the ground for several moments before walking off under his own power. Amed Rosario replaced Flores as a pinch-hitter in the middle of the at-bat.
