Mets infielder Wilmer Flores hit a walk-off solo home run in the bottom of the ninth inning in Sunday's 3-2 win over the Milwaukee Brewers as New York's franchise-best start continued.
Flores roped Matt Albers' 1-2 sinker over the left-center field fence as the Mets improved to 12-2, the best record in the National League and second-best record in the majors.
"I was definitely ready for a heater," Flores told reporters after the game. "He throws a lot of fastballs in, he tried to throw that backdoor two-seamer, and he got it in the middle.
