The Miami catcher crushed a two-run homer in the second inning on Friday, giving the Marlins all the offense they would need in a 3-1 win over the Mets at Citi Field.
Marcell Ozuna also drove in a run for the Marlins, who leaned on starting pitcher Justin Nicolino for five innings of one-run ball.
Mets rookie Chris Flexen submitted one of his strongest starts of the season following a one-hour, 57-minute rain delay, limiting the Marlins to just those three runs in 5 1/3 innings.
