‘Flash’ Gordon keeps looking after missing out on Mets job

LAS VEGAS — The Mets almost solved their bullpen coach opening in a Flash.

Tom “Flash” Gordon was one of three finalists for the position along with Yankees minor league coach Scott Aldred and former Braves pitching coach Chuck Hernandez, who got the job.

“I played 21 years for eight teams as a starter, long man, setup man and closer,” Gordon told The Post. “I feel I learned a lot and I feel I can teach what I have learned.”

Gordon said Jeff Wilpon was part of the interview process and that he enjoyed the experience of talking to Mets officials and did not think the door completely closed to do something with the organization in the future.
