After pulling two dramatic wins out of their hat yesterday, the Mets couldn’t repeat the trick a third time, falling to the Yankees 2-1 in walkoff fashion. The offense was totally stymied, with the lone run coming on a solo home run by Wilson Ramos in the eighth inning.
Robert Gsellman was much better in this start than his previous two, giving up only one run on a first inning home run. He was helped by his defense in the fourth when two runners were thrown out at the plate, but overall this was a big step in the right direction.
