Final Score: Mets 6, Rockies 1—The Stro Show

The New York Mets evened up their series with the Colorado Rockies behind a strong start from Marcus Stroman and a solid offensive showing in the second half of the game. Despite hitting into four double plays and going down relatively quietly over the first five innings, the Mets blasted off in the sixth and picked up a much-needed 6-1 to temporarily right their sinking ship.

Stroman was spectacular over seven shutout innings, striking out seven while walking one. He gave up just four hits and was in command from the start in a tough place to pitch.
