Final Score: Mets 5, Marlins 3 - Scooter salvation

The Mets beat the Marlins in a frustrating and exciting game in Miami, 5-3. Jacob deGrom was magnificent over six scoreless innings, giving up just four singles and no walks, while striking out seven. The Mets held the lead for most of the game, before the seventh inning began an adventure of a final nine outs.

Each pitcher the Mets brought into the game - Jeurys Familia, Justin Wilson, Dellin Betances, and Edwin Diaz - contributed somehow to the loss of the lead, leading to Diaz walking in the tying run in the bottom of the eighth.
