Final Score: Mets 5, Marlins 2-Stro don’t go

Marcus Stroman and the Mets opened their final homestand of the season with a 5-2 win over the Marlins in the first game of a doubleheader. It what could be Stroman’s final appearance in a blue and orange home uniform he stole the show. Not only was he again solid on the mound, he stole a base, and gave Jazz Chisholm a piggyback ride. His only blemish was a very long home run given up to Lewin Diaz.

On the other side of the coin, Francisco Lindor carried the Mets’ offense and drove in three of their five runs.
