Final score: Mets 1, Braves 0—No starting pitching, no problem

Despite the fact that they didn’t have a starting pitcher for the nightcap of their doubleheader against the Braves, the Mets won the second game 1-0 thanks to the work of the six relief pitchers who shut out Atlanta. Those pitchers, in order, were Aaron Loup, Jeurys Familia, Anthony Banda, Trevor May, and Edwin Díaz.

Having been shut out in the first game of the evening, the Mets scored just one run in the second game. That came on a Jeff McNeil double in the bottom of the fifth. That proved to be enough, as the relievers combined for 10 strikeouts, issued just one walk, and gave up a total of just four hits.
