The Mets were swept by the Brewers on Sunday, finishing off a winless five-game road trip with an 8-4 loss and clinching a losing season for the fourth time in five years. On the other side, Milwaukee celebrated an NL Central title on their final regular season home game.
The Mets jumped on Freddy Peralta early thanks to a solo homer by Francisco Lindor two batters into the ballgame. Carlos Carrasco’s first inning troubles continued, however, as he surrendered a two-run shot to Willy Adames to cough up the early lead. He gave up three more in the second inning to put his club in a four-run hole.
