Final Score: Braves 4, Mets 2—In 1962 it was funny. This is not funny.

In a rather unsurprising series of events, the Mets lost another game started by Jason Vargas. This time, the Atlanta Braves took the first of four games at Citi Field by the score of 4-2. Like a pair of Nancy Sinatra’s boots, the Braves have walked all over the Mets this season, taking 10 out of 13 games after tonight’s victory.

Jason Vargas had a start that can be described as very Vargas-esque. The lefty went five innings giving up four runs on six hits and three walks.
