Mets closer Jeurys Familia said he has not spoken to his friend Jenrry Mejia, since Mejia was banned from baseball following a third positive PED test.
Familia said that while he still considers Mejia his friend, he said that rules are rules.
"Everybody knows when you do something wrong, you have to pay for it," Familia said.
Familia said he wanted to give Mejia a few days before reaching out.
