Duda will have a big 2017 if he hits lefties like he did Monday

In the seventh inning Monday against the Braves, with two outs and the bases loaded, Lucas Duda hit a fat sinker from left-handed reliever Eric O'Flaherty to deep left-center field that scored three runs and broke the game wide open...

The moment screamed for a pinch hitter, given Duda's struggles against left-handed pitching. He looked bad fouling off an inside fastball during the first pitch of the at-bat. However, doing what he did so well in 2014, but struggled to do the following two seasons, Duda shortened his swing and took O'Flaherty's outside sinker up the middle with authority.
