Mets rookie 1B Dominic Smith is hitting just .161 with a .186 OBP, three home runs and six RBI during his 59 at-bats, but he and the Mets are not worried.
"I am a pretty slow starter," Smith recently said, according to the NY Post. "It normally takes me a month to get stuff going. ... It's a new league. You have to get used to the pitchers. You have to get used to the umpires. You have to get used to pretty much everything: playing in front of 40,000 people. It's a way bigger game than it is at the other levels, and every level I have been to takes a little adjustment period.
