NEW YORK -- Jacob deGrom's Cy Young push will have to wait another day … again. The Mets and Marlins have postponed Monday's game at Citi Field due to rain, with a single-admission doubleheader scheduled for Wednesday beginning at 4:10 p.m. ET.
The consecutive rainouts may cost him a start as he looks to lock down the National League Cy Young Award. For deGrom to start five more times, he will need to pitch at least once on short rest -- something that would not have been necessary had he started Monday. The Mets have not yet announced their plans for deGrom.
