Jacob deGrom says his team's goal for 2016 is to win the World Series, he said Thursday at an autograph signing in New York, according to the New York Post (Dec. 11, 2015).
"We have a pretty good shot at it next year," said deGrom, who went 14-8 with a 2.54 ERA in the regular season in 2015.
He is disappointed that friends Jon Niese and Daniel Murphy will not be back, but deGrom he is happy to see the Mets bring in 2B Neil Walker and SS Asdrubal Cabrera.
