Curtis Granderson, who the Mets traded to the Dodgers earlier this month, wrote an article in the Players' Tribune thanking Mets fans and the city of New York.
Two of Granderson's first memories with the Mets were how "thoughtful and generous" David Wright was in helping to get him acclimated and "Lucas Duda hitting bombs."
Granderson and Duda hit it off and "Club Grandy" started in the locker room.
"Anyway, after a while we had the whole setup down," Granderson wrote. "I'd DJ and Duda would serve as my bodyguard during those sets.
