Colon has a tendon issue, says he's fine

Bartolo Colon has been pitching with a tendon issue in his right foot, Terry Collins revealed to reporters before Tuesday's game.

Colon first suffered the injury while running the bases.

According to Collins, Colon is still on target to start Saturday against the Phillies.

"I'm fine," Colon added, talking to the NY Post.

Colon was charged with seven runs in just 2.1 innings during his last start Monday against the Marlins, who have 20 hits in 14 innings against him this season.

Similar to Noah Syndergaard's situation Sunday, if the Mets clinch a playoff spot before Saturday, I assume the Mets will skip Colon's start and let him go Game 1 of a possible NLDS - while also being available in the bullpen during the Wild Card game.
