Collins ejected after arguing foul-ball call

DENVER -- In the midst of a five-run Rockies rally in the third inning, Mets manager Terry Collins was ejected by home plate umpire Carlos Torres.

With the bases loaded, with one out and one run walked in and Hansel Robles warming up in the Mets bullpen, Rockies catcher Tony Wolters swung at a pitch in the dirt from Logan Verrett that replays indicated may have been strike three. Torres ruled it a foul ball, and Collins took exception with the call and was ejected after arguing with Torres.

Wolters then smacked a two-run double that bounced off the grass and off the center-field fence in front of the Mets bullpen.
