Politicians normally use their time on the House floor to drone on about debt limits, but California Rep. Adam Schiff used his time Friday to settle a personal debt.
The Hollywood Democrat made good on his bet with Congressman Steve Israel (D-Brooklyn), singing “Meet the Mets” as payment for the wager the two put on the NLDS between the Mets and Dodgers, which New York won in five games.
Schiff, who had Mets logos taped to his tie, halfheartedly made his way through the tune, before appealing to the speaker to excuse him from his commitment.
