Bryce Harper goes ballistic over ejection for arguing strike call

Bryce Harper is out of the Mets’ hair for one night.

The Phillies slugger was ejected from Monday night’s game at Citi Field in the fourth inning for arguing a called strike on a 3-2 pitch from Steven Matz. Harper’s strikeout was the second out of the inning and the Phillies had a runner on first.

Harper started to voice his displeasure with home-plate umpire Mark Carlson after the pitch and television cameras later showed the former MVP cursing as he walked back to the dugout before Carlson sent him packing.

It led to an extremely angry Harper getting into Carlson’s face, forcing Phillies manager Gabe Kapler to push his slugger away.
