Mets outfielder Brandon Nimmo, who is batting .293 with a .431 OBP during his last 19 games, has four hits and three walks in nine plate appearances the last two days.
Nimmo has been getting consistent playing time in the wake of Michael Conforto and Yoenis Cespedes suffering season-ending injuries last month.
"Oh gosh, I don't know if I could appreciate it more," Nimmo said this past weekend, according to MLB.com. "Every day that I've been up here, I've been really, really thankful for it. But yes, there is a different sense when you get to play every day, when you see your name in the lineup most days.
