Blevins discusses MLB's potential new pace-of-play rules

Mets LH reliever Jerry Blevins was among a panel of current players who discussed MLB's new pace-of-play initiatives with Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic.

The player's union rejected the league's proposal for changes last week, and it is expected that MLB Commissioner Rob Manfred will implement the changes unilaterally before the season.

Among them are a 20-second pitch clock and tighter restrictions on mound visits.

Regarding the pitch clock, Blevins spoke to former-Met Daniel Murphy about times they've faced one another, and said he will never allow the pitch clock to impact a specific at-bat.
