The Mets apparently lost the first game they played today. If you were a smart person such as myself, you had other plans during the day and didn’t watch it. But most of us watched some amount of the catastrophe in Pittsburgh this weekend. Or some of the other awful losses that have occurred over the past couple weeks. Point being, you don’t have to be all that dialed in to know that the Mets desperately needed a win tonight. And thanks to one clutch hit from Brandon Nimmo and a series of clutch hits from the newly-named All-Star Francisco Lindor, they got it, with the Amazins securing a 7-3 win over the Brewers.
