In a surprise decision, the Houston Astros will return home to play baseball this weekend rather than remain in Tampa, Fla., where they had been temporarily relocated because of the devastating effects of Hurricane Harvey.
There had been widespread speculation that the Astros would stay put in Tampa through the weekend and continue to play games at Tropicana Field, the home of the Tampa Bay Rays. The Astros are now in the midst of a three-game series there against the Texas Rangers
But instead, this weekend’s Astros games, which will be against the Mets, will be played at Minute Maid Park in Houston.
