Hurricane Harvey couldn’t keep the Astros away from their home ballpark for long.
The American League’s best team is returning to Minute Maid Park this weekend for a three-game series with the Mets.
As Hurricane Harvey ravaged Houston and surrounding areas earlier in the week, the teams were expected to detour the series to Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg, Fla. But the team and the city are confident the Astros can return home and give the fans something to cheer about.
“We feel that the Astros playing this weekend will provide a much-needed boost for our city,” Houston Mayor Sylvester Turner said in a statement.
