Asdrubal Cabrera may have found niche in leadoff spot

Asdrubal Cabrera may have found his new favorite spot in the Mets' lineup.

After going hitless in the cleanup hole on Opening Day, manager Mickey Callaway decided to put his veteran second baseman in the leadoff spot on Saturday. The move worked out for the best.

Cabrera went 3-for-5 with two doubles, an RBI, and one run scored in the Mets' 6-2 win over the Cardinals. Not only did he secure his first hits of the 2018 campaign, but he looked comfortable at the plate, taking pitches and allowing the rest of the lineup to study starter Michael Wacha.
