Aroldis Chapman, Kenley Jansen both passed on Marlins, Nationals

Free-agent closer Aroldis Chapman rejected an $87 million deal from the Marlins to sign a five-year, $86 million contract with the Yankees, the NY Post's Joel Sherman reported last week.

Similarly, free-agent closer Kenley Jansen turned down more money from the Marlins, as well as the Nationals, in favor of a five-year, $80 million deal with the Dodgers, according to multiple reports.

In the wake of losing out on Chapman and Jansen, the Marlins are expected to pursue free-agent relievers Brad Ziegler, Neftali Feliz, Fernando Salas and Junichi Tazawa.
