Mets SS Amed Rosario has impressed his manager and teammates during his first week in the majors.
Rosario, who made his Mets debut last Tuesday against the Rockies in Colorado, has gone 4-for-22 with two triples and has been smooth at shortstop.
"In five or six games, you can see that this kid's going to be a very good player," Collins told Newsday on Sunday. "Obviously, there's a lot of things he's going to learn how to do and he'll do it on his own because he's a sharp kid."
"He's got great athleticism, plays with great energy," Collins added.
