Two weeks ago, the Mets got a Monday off and it couldn't have come at a worse time. They had just swept the Marlins and were on an 8-game winning streak. The timing was terrible, but it did give all of us a chance to think about how good the Mets can be this year.
Monday, the Mets got a huge break from the schedule maker - a day off after losing 7 of 10 overall and 3 of 4 to the Nats. The timing was perfect, except that it gave all of us a day to fret and pick apart all that ails the Mets.
