We’re going to always get into the habit of thinking David Stearns will reunite with players he knew in the past from his days with the Milwaukee Brewers. It’s a fair assumption. In two years with the New York Mets, he has regularly added players he signed, traded for, or claimed off of waivers. Many were lower level like Pablo Reyes and Mike Brousseau. The anticipation of a bigger ex-Brewers player to come to New York will remain intact as long as there are candidates out there.
Last offseason it was Corbin Burnes. This winter, it’ll be guys like Devin Williams leading the charge.
